Procurement Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our property management team.  The ideal candidate must be a strong communicator, with excellent negotiation skills and a strong background in purchasing/procurement, preferably with experience working with local and overseas suppliers.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage the full procurement process from negotiating to ordering, to arrival at the final destination
  • Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
  • Devise and use cost-effective sourcing strategies
  • Compare proposals for price and specifications
  • Negotiate with vendors to reduce costs
  • Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business partnerships
  • Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
  • Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services
  • Work with and manage relationships with customs brokers
  • Coordinate and track all shipments
  • Continuously review and analyze company expenditures for cost savings
  • Perform all other duties, as assigned

 

Skills & Qualifications

  • Extensive experience working in a Procurement/Purchasing role
  • Strong understanding of procurement and negotiation techniques
  • Above average knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (Word & Excel)
  • Self-motivated individual with high level of initiative, flexibility, customer service and strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
